Sunday, 10 September 2017, it was the final day of the MTB Downhill season. The World Championships in Cairns Australia, hometown of Tracey Hannah (one of the favorites), began.
The 1.9 kilometer run through the rainforest of Smithfield Park was extremely dry and dusty. Many mechanical problems during the training and races and some crashes made it a hard contest.
Sadly, during training, reigning World Champion, Rachel Atherton broke her collarbone and could not defend her title. We wish Rachel a quick recovery!
The World Cup in Val di Sole, Italy was the last WC on the 2017 Tour. It was an exciting tour with four ladies winning the cups this year. With Myriam Nicole as leading lady overall it was Tahnee Seagrave who could pass her on the podium this last WC.

Last weekend, Myriam won her first world-cup downhill since 2011 and this weekend she won her second WC in one week.
This weekend the WC-tour set camp in Lenzerheide, Swiss.
"The crowd was unreal and the track was fast and loose, such an awesome feeling crossing the line!"
Last weekend was also the Down Hill World-Cup in Vallnord, Andorra. This season is an exciting season for the ladies with a different winner in every contest.
The ladies knew that the championship is open and that everybody can win from the other. With a slightly wet and technical course Myriam Nicole had and extra pressure,
riding in the home event of her bike sponsor.
