With the summer sports events coming to an end, the snowboard World Cup season started last weekend in Cardrona, New Zealand. The riders will be focused at the Olympic Games in South-Korea in 2018.

Riders will be competing at as much World Cups they can go to as not everybody is already sure for their spot at the Olympics.

Big Air is the new snowboard event at the Olympics and last season the ladies showed already such a high level that we can’t wait to see how high the bar is set for this season.

We start with the good news we heard from Cheryl Maas, her neck is 100% healed and she is already in training to get fit for the season.

The first Slope Style WC was in Cardrona, a lot of the ladies were already present to train for the season and to ride this exciting and playful park contest.

Jamie Anderson took the first gold of the season followed by Miyabi Onitsuka and third Zoi Synnot Sadowski, riding in her home country.

Congrats ladies!
